Mérida, Yucatán, is a city full of history, culture, and color, where Mayan tradition blends with colonial architecture, unique gastronomy, and the warmth of its people.
During our visit, we enjoyed several restaurants, among which Yerba Santa stood out. There, we savored the tuna tartare and rib eye, among other dishes. The restaurant is located in a beautifully restored colonial mansion on Paseo Montejo #473, Mérida.

Another very interesting place was Arcano Restaurant and Garden Bar, an old structure that merges the earthly and the cosmic in spaces designed for extraordinary experiences. Its menu combines classic ingredients with herbs and spices from around the world, creating a truly engaging gastronomic experience. There, we enjoyed delicious meat and fish dishes. It is located at Calle 20 #104, Itzimná, Mérida.

We also visited Kinich Restaurant, located in the town of Izamal, very close to Mérida. Izamal is a Magical Town with yellow streets and houses, rich ancestral history, and colonial charm. At Kinich, we enjoyed authentic traditional Yucatecan cuisine, such as panuchos, salbutes, and empanadas, all available with various meat or vegetable options. A true feast of native flavors from Yucatán.
It is located at Calle 27 No. 299 x 28 y 30, C.P. 97540, Izamal, Yucatán.

I highly recommend visiting Mérida and its surroundings to discover its golden age, when the henequen industry supported a powerful regional economy, as well as its ancestral and colonial architecture, art galleries, and, of course, its gastronomy.
